Maiduguri, Borno – Thirty vulnerable women have been trained and empowered with livelihood skills under a women empowerment initiative by local NGO, Daimal Community Development Initiative.<\/p>\n

As part of the initiative aimed at strengthening women’s economic resilience and promoting self-reliance, the beneficiaries received relevant skills and support to improve their household livelihoods.<\/p>\n

Ndarason Radio played a key role in the selection process, with 10 of the 30 participants drawn directly from its listeners through a phone-in program. The live call-in provided an inclusive platform for women from different communities across Maiduguri to participate.<\/p>\n

The 10 women selected through Ndarason Radio are:<\/p>\n

Organizers said the partnership with Ndarason Radio demonstrates the impact of community media in driving grassroots development and ensuring that empowerment opportunities reach women at the community level.<\/p>\n
