Boko Haram Attacks Kill 13 In Cameroon And Nigeria – Journal du Cameroun

Between Sunday and Monday, attacks attributed to elements of the armed jihadist group Boko Haram killed 13 people in Cameroon and Nigeria. One of the attacks took place in the Far North region of Cameroon in the town of Gouzda Wayam in the Mayo-Tsanaga division. The attackers struck on the night of 26/27 May 2024. In addition to the dead, they abducted children. The armed forces are searching for the attackers in order to free the hostages.

Cameroon: 2 Students Shot Dead In Bamenda  – Journal du Cameroun

This Tuesday morning, gunmen shot dead two students in the Mankon, Bamenda II as they began the GCE Advanced Level examination. The assailants shot them during an attack on the St Frederik Mubang College. Although there has been no claim of responsibility for the attack, local people have blamed separatists’ fighters, who have a history of attacks on schools in the North West and South West regions. For several years, armed separatist groups have tried to force all schools in these regions to close to protest against the State of Cameroon.
