Northeast Humanitarian Innovation trained 30 Internally Displaced Persons from Borno state residing at various IDP camps in Adamawa on computer operations and entrepreneurship.

The participants who were Internally Displaced Persons from Borno State northeast Nigeria currently taking refuge in Adamawa State after their years of displacement by Boko Haram insurgents in their various communities.

Speaking to Radio Ndarason International Musa Yalwa of the North-East Humanitarian Innovation (NEHI) said the participants comprises of 15 men and 15 female were trained on various skills such as computer operations, GSM repair and business skills aimed at making them self-reliant during post-insurgency.

He also charged the participants to utilise and impart the same knowledge to their relatives who were not part of the training.

Deborah Mathew and Babagana Sale participants, thanked the organisers for skills, noting that this will go a long way in making their life and that of their families better.

The leader of the Civilian-Joint Task Force Adamawa State northeast, Nigeria Bako Ali Gurna expressed appreciation to NEHI and other development partners for assisting the IDPs in the northeast Nigeria. He also call on government, non-governmental organisations and well to do individuals to address the humanitarian crisis in the northeast region ravaged by Boko Haram insurgents.
