Brief – Kidnappers who abducted two farmers in Shetimari Dawari village in the Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State have demanded ₦4 million, ₦2 million each, for their return.
The kidnappers entered the village at about 12.30am on Saturday, December 17, and nabbed the two farmers, who were neighbours.
Modu Umara, the brother of one of the victims, told RNI reporter Alkali Mustapha that the kidnappers had phoned the family.
“They allowed us to talk to my brother. He said they were fine but they needed prayers. Then the kidnappers demanded a ₦2 million ransom for each of the men.
Umara said there was no security in the village.
This was the second kidnapping in the Damboa Local Government Area this year. The first was at the beginning of July, this time in the Wabiya Furitami village.
