Brief – Two insurgents, thought to be members of the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’way Wa’l-Jihād (JAS), were killed by troops after they stole animals and motorbikes during an attack on Manwaji Village in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State on Saturday, March 26.
A resident told RNI reporter Rawa Dikwa that the JAS, more commonly known as Boko Haram, attacked the village on Saturday afternoon, seizing animals that were out to graze and an unknown number of motorbikes. No one was harmed.
After the attack, troops from Mafa followed the insurgents and returned with two dead bodies and some of the stolen animals and motorbikes.
