Secondary Students Become Entrepreneurs

Secondary school students in Maiduguri have embraced entrepreneurship as schools continue to be closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic

The students said they will use their free days to start something beneficial in different occupations.

Mohammed Mustapha has told our reporter that he is a student and cannot remain idle because he needs to become self-reliant and employed, adding that closure of the school is the major reason for him to become a mechanic.

Halima Ahmad, a student of Shehu Sanda Kyarimi, Maiduguri, Borno state, said that she is making caps because schools are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

She added that, men will not give money for free these days without expecting something in return.  Halima called on the womenfolk to embrace entrepreneurship for it will protect them from being harmed

Muhammad Mustapha, a student of Mafoni Day Secondary school, Maiduguri, said that youth restiveness is a global concern. As such he chose to become self-reliant and help his parents with the little income he makes from his work. He called on youth especially students to step his footprints
